| Domain Transfer |
- VERY IMPORTANT TRANSFER TIPS -
1. Please ensure the administrative and registrant contact email addresses for your domain name are correct prior to submitting a transfer request. The transfer process is email verification based. If the email addresses listed for the administrative and registrant contacts of the domain are not current, the transfer will likely fail.
2. Verify your domain name is not expired. It is advisable to initiate your transfer at least 7 days prior to expire date, so there will be enough time to complete the process.
3. All .info, .us ,.biz and .org transfers require an authentication code be entered at time of transfer. You can obtain an authentication code from your current registrar (where the domain is currently registered).
4. ICANN regulations prohibit the transfer of domains less than 60 days new or renewed. If you've registered your domain within the past 60 days, please wait until 61 days have past before initiating a domain name transfer.
5. If your domain name is locked at the current registrar it cannot be transferred. Please contact your current registrar to ensure there are no holds or locks before beginning the transfer of your domain name (many registrars automatically place locks on their domain names for security).
6. Domain transfers add 1 year to the current expiration date. You will not lose months or years by transferring a domain prior to the expiration date.
