About the TVCNet Network Operations Center
Take a virtual tour of the data center? TVCNet web servers are located and managed within the Hurricane Electric (Fremont, CA) Network Operations Centers respectively. Raised floors, individually locked cabinets, conditioned and back-up power, custom designed video surveillance of every cabinet, and onsite security measures ensures the security of our servers. We own our equipment, and do not outsource support to other Countries. While many web hosting operations purchase space or equipment from other web hosts, we own the web servers and equipment used in the hosting of our client's web sites. Likewise, our technical support and services are purely USA based. Technically, all TVCNet web servers are connected to the Internet via Gigabit Ethernet and multiple OC-48 connections; the latest Cisco routers; and are backup powered via externally located diesel generators to eliminate the likelihood of downtime by local power outages. TVCNet web server are configurations with state of the art Intel Dual-Core servers, with 4 or more Gigabytes of RAM and the fastest hard drives available. Software includes the latest versions of Red Hat Linux (pronounced ) operating system and Unix Apache web server software. To ensure highest speeds for all of our clients, we restrict our web servers to less than 500 accounts per server. This low number of accounts on each high speed web server, coupled with redundant OC-48 connectivity makes for a screaming bunch of bandwidth happy machines. This web site for example is hosted on one of our virtual servers, and shares space with over 400 customer accounts. Take a virtual our of the NOC?
